Pascal, how are you liking your first visit to Montreal? Loving it! It’s a great city with so much to see and do. It was nice to get here a little early and spend some time exploring. It’s pretty cold here right now, so that will be quite interesting as the weekend goes on and apparently gets wetter the closer we get to Sunday. For now though, I like what I see and I can’t wait to get to grips with the track from Friday. On paper - or rather, simulator, as this is another new circuit for you - what do you expect of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve? First of all it’s pretty fast - one of the fastest tracks of the season. So that makes it great for me as a driver but also good for our package, which is perhaps a little better suited to the lower downforce circuits. It’s also pretty demanding on the car though, particularly with the hard-braking. It’s a very different challenge to the last race in Monaco but I’m really enjoying the diversity of all the circuits right now, so bring it on!

Rio, first visit to Montreal and we hear you’ve been soaking it up – literally – since you arrived? Yes I arrived a couple of days early to get used to the time zone – I’m used to going the other way round the world - less so a Westerly heading! We also had some promotional activities, including riding the rapids of the Saint Lawrence River, which I’ve just about dried out from now! It was certainly memorable, that’s for sure. It’s going to be pretty cool racing this weekend on an island in the middle of a huge river. What do you make of the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve? This is a Grand Prix that we’ve all been looking forward to, as the expectation is that it will suit our car but also it’s a track that always seems to produce great, often eventful races – and wet ones! We’re expecting some of that this weekend and though I’ve been exposed to a fair amount of water already this week, the reality is that it’s a great leveller and always creates opportunities that might not otherwise exist during races. So we just need to tread carefully through that tricky last sector.

Dave, both drivers seem to have great expectations for this weekend? We’ve been looking forward to coming to Montreal for some time. It’s a great circuit - one that is well-suited to our car and which has hosted some fantastic races in the past so, yes, both drivers are on it and ready to get racing. We’ve brought some Montreal-specific items here to tailor the car to the specification of this track, so it will be interesting for us to see how they work for us.
