Clearly, Red Bull must see things from a different perspective on the inside. They’ve won more world championships than us, so they are clearly onto something with this F1 lark, but it does seem harsh on Tsunoda@virtualstatman Compare his driving and Lawson's driving. Lawson is first to provide valuable feedback about the car, he can perform bold non-rookie overtakes, which is what RBR values a lot - that's why they looked briefly at Colapinto. I haven't seen it in Tsunoda's driving style so far.

But how many times have we heard that from Max, or Lewis, or Charles, or others? The big boys are also known for spitting their dummy out when things go wrong, it’s not as though Yuki is the only one@virtualstatman The biggest problem with Yuki is the fact he can't really control himself and tends to seethe on everyone through radio. I can see him getting a meaty bitchslap from Marko or Horner if he tried his infamous tantrum as an RBR driver.

I suppose that could be debated, but there have been lots of sons of F1 drivers who were mediocre at best. Everyone i've ever spoken to about Max was convinced of his god-tier abilities from the very start.@virtualstatman Would max have reached F1 if he wasn't a verstappen?

I must admit, I've also questioned that myself. On the other hand, would Tsunoda have reached F1 were he NOT Japanese, based on his junior results? Perhaps that door of opportunity works in both directions@virtualstatman If Yuki was European, teams would be drooling for him
