As I told Toto in glorious sunshine on the way to the Sprint yesterday it can ALWAYS Rain at Zandvoort. (If only the Sprint had started 2 mins later.) This track has drenched us twice, in 1975 and 2023, and nearly everyone got caught out.

Great lap by Lando and well done to McLaren too. Yes they have higher Downforce than Mercs that helps in slightly greasy conditions but great job getting their cars out first as the track started to slow down with the spots of rain.

Lewis could be the biggest threat Mercedes have.

Why? Because Ferrari can change the car to help him nail the lap. Fastest in all the corners and just made a couple of big mistakes he could fix 0.26s in T1.
